We got out last night out of stodard to stay south of the storm. It was pretty windy last night but we still managed some quality fish. We had 2 over three, and two real close. One was four pounds but the picture is a little REVEALING We never did get wet though. but around 6:30- 7 we got one heck of a lightning show to the north. Something about having a graphite fishing rod told me we should probabaly not test our luck. Fish fell to jigs mostly in staging areas. We have a pretty good patern going and it seems like anywhere you find the right combination of current and structure you will find big smallies right now!

nice fish! I know you couldn’t have been in the pits if you didn’t get wet

I wasn’t in the pits either. I was in goose on shore but you could see the rain falling from the sky and I escaped it by the hair on my neck so I figured that anybody much further north of goose was getting soaked
