I have a 1990 Champion and the in-dash flasher that the boat came with finally wore out. I have been looking to replace it with a new in-dash flasher with maybe a temperature guage built in. Anyone recommend a certain brand over another. Or what about a digital in-dash depth guage over a flasher. Does the digital give accurate depth readings at high speeds and what kind of tranducer should I use. Thanks for any help! Code:

The Vexilar FL-10 is widely used by alot of bass fisherman. It has the bright LED’s which makes it viewable in direct sunlight. I would go with a flasher v.s a digital depth gauge. The FL-10 will give you good readings at very high speeds. And you can mark fish and weeds with a good flasher.. Heres the link to the FL-10

I second that. If your looking for a great flash that would be a great company….

Flashers work great on the bow of the boat. I have my marcum lx-3 pucked on my trolling motor…
you can use the ice pack in the boat, and it works, but obviously if you are moving, the ice pack will be too..plus your trolling motor will disturb the screen everytime you power up the trolling motor..so getting a puck mount on a johnny ray mount or something else is the way to go imo.

    Lowrance LCF 1440

I have this one mounted in the dash of my Champ and love it.

I have two Lowrance 1440’s on my boat. One in the console and one on the bow. Nice little unit.
