Pool 8 was just plain on fire today…THE BUCKETMOUTH FAIRY WAS AROUND BIGTIME. The Largemouth were just crushing Mizmo Slate with Red Fleck 4 inch tubes today on old rocks….. Black frog and black popper frog over nearly emergent weeds and across timber with weeds around and in just plain thick weeds was a blast today too.. Through some excitement and so much action the biggest fish never got photographed. It was a legitimate 5# fish( second largest I have seen on the water this year and biggest in my boat). We did take a picture of one nice largemouth, and caught 8-10 fish from 3.5 – 5 lbs today from 5:30 -10:30 AM. I think this was my best morning this year. We really needed a buzzbait in a few places but I rarely have them along. Didn’t get to any slop areas to see if there was any. We drifted JoLynn slough for about an hour today just before the ugly front came through but the walleye there were all 10-13 inches, but were biting steady.
Pool 9 was certainly nothing special yesterday we caught some 2-2.5# bass and bunch of 13 and 14 inch walleye and two small northern.
This is one of those times when you should have been there tommorrow,(not yesterday), sure is a true statement. This was the second day out with Kevin and Paul from Ohio and after an awful bite on pool 9 yesterday I glad I kept saying we will get on good fish. the wink was for the Bucketmouth Fairy

Well the three of us fished again today and the hogs didn’t work with us but we did have three fish over 3#s come to the boat. We ofcource tried to find the fish in the shallow 8″ to 2 1/2 foot depths they were in yesterday and yes some smaller ones were there.

We made the adjustment about 8:30 to the cold front and fished from 2.5 to 7 foot depths and then had steady action till time to quit at 11:00. Deeper rocks or rocks with a sharper drop in front of them yeilded almost all the fish.

Forgot today same color as yesterday and pumpkin fleck Mizmos did almost all the damage.
