Are any of you guys going to these new flipping baits (Beast, Sabertail, etc…) or are you sticking with your reliable stuff like Brush Hogs, Tubes, etc…?

So far I yet to buy any of the crazy looking new stuff. I think the craziest things I have bought has been a Beaver here and there…

That would be me. Not much new for me this year. Except the 500 Power Worms I bought.

I like the Berkley Beaver rip off, but I think it would look better if I trimmed the sides of it.

Its hard to beat a tube or brush hog. Old confidence baits

Lake Fork craw tubes are my favorite now, bulky, rigid and plenty soft so I dont lose many fish. Speaking of which, Dnort, what kind of deal can you get me on like 500 in say..green pumkpkin?

I second the lake fork craw tubes…great baits…another one of my favs is the yum wooly beaver tail. they don’t last very long, but the fish sure like em.

I like the beaver too, but I’d say the yamamoto kreature is my #1. It’s a little pricy but when the fishing’s tough the slower fall it has gets the job done.

The Sweet Beaver got alot better this year I got bit more on it than a Brush Hog. bass fishing on the river has brought the fish to immunity. I cant hardley get bit on a Salt Craw go back threw the same area with a tube or a beaver and get bit. weird

I guess you got to keep the fish guessing. Throw them something they have never seen before. I personally like the brush hogs and the berkley beasts.

Saw these at Gander a couple weeks ago and just had to buy them! They look amazing..i’m not gonna lie I think they will make a great finesse plastic, as well as a soft buzzer considering it is heavier plastic, which appears to be made out of the same plastic as wave’s tiki stick, making it ideal for heavier baitcasting equipment and those lily pads I like the look of this bait and can’t wait to try it out!!!

I’m an Angry Otter kind of guy. The thump, thump, thump of the paddles just feels good on the other end.

In the past couple of years, Sweet Beavers were my plastics of choice for flipping. I rig them with a 3/0 Gamagatsu Straight shank worm hook tied with a snelled knot. My favorite flipping bait is the Split Tail Snack Stick made by Snack Daddy Lures. Most fish eat it on the fall immediatly. The salt content and the action of the tail expanding in the water triggers aggresive reaction strikes.
