Fished pool 4 today, took out my buddies new boat. We put in at the pontoon slough ramp off hwy 25 and fished the channels around the highway. We managed to get 6-8 bites in several hours of fishing, tried lots of different things and only boated one couple pound drum. Does anyone else fish the area? Do the bass winter back there, seems like there is plenty of water depth for them to stick around. Was our lack of success due to the colder temps today or are the fish just not there this time of year yet? Lots of areas look good just didnt produce today.
