I managed to get myself in trouble with my Wife but it was worth it. I got off work this morning at 7:00am and went home to get the boat and hit the river. My wife told me to go to bed for before I could go. So I slept for an hour and a half and took off.

I decided to fish Spring Lake I put my boat in and off I went. First spot I had two hits a on a spinner bait. But I think they were shad, there were shad swimming around that were about 15-18″. I went to the next spot and did not even get a bump. Back to the first spot and I caught 3 17″ers out of the same tree. It was a blast!!!

Water temps were between 60 and 63. Air temp about 78 and I got a nice sun tan going. The only bad part of the day was the flocks of coots all over while I was running in and out. My blue carpet is 50% green and white now.

All three fish were caught on a Gambler bacon rine

The water is really a mess though, Some places it is gin clear and others it looks like mud.
