even tho there isnt a whole heck of alot of ice left to break, heard from a couple people that work for the coor that the ice breaker is somewhere around lock and dam 6 and will be breaking through pepin sometime tuesday. wont be long now!!!!
I can add this for the Wabasha area ice. At 8:00 this morning the wabasha Harbor was about 75% ice’d in. The harbor’s ice is ususally the last to go. Didn’t drive up to Pepin but it was pretty solid from lake City to La Couplis on Friday. With Todays highs in the 70’s and strong southerly winds I’d bet everything in our area will be ice free on Monday morning.

I expect with the warm weather today and tomorrow, the ice should be gone by tomorrow like John said. If it rains this afternoon and tonight, sunny tomorrow. Ice should be gone and water warming!! The another cool down. 
drove by the lake early this morning. mostly ice free but a few big chinks floating around. so much for needing the tug! should of been gone by later today or at least tomarrow i would think
