spots on Bass

    The last couple of days i have been catching bass with little black spots about the size of a dime on them.Usually around 5 or 6 of them on the Bass.Has anyone else been catching them or know why or what the spots are.It has me all cornfussed

    Sounds to me like lampry eel has been doing their thing on the bass. That is usually what it looks like when they have been sucking on a fish.

    I’ve been seeing the same in pool 4 looks like a fungus to me. Looked at a lot of bass at the bfl weigh in in Lacrosse saw none of it there.

    The forum discussed this a couple weeks ago, and it was decided… “the black spots are healed fungus infections and are only seen in the spring of the years as the healing happens over the winter.”
