26 boats tonight and if I counted right well over 40 fisherpersons.

Three way tie for first 3.44,3.44,3.44 All BucketMouths
    4th 3.2#?? Largemouth
    5th 2.88# Largemouth
6th 2.76# Smallmouth,(guess who),one out of the money. I’ll take it it was the second time ever fishing bass on 7,(8 hours total). Didn’t have anytime to prefish either time. So far I have averaged a keeper an hour. I should probably quit while I’m ahead LOL

Nice to meet you Blue Fleck.

It was a pleasure finally meeting you too. Sorry I couldn’t stick around and talk but my Father works 3rd shift and had to get ready for work. Maybe I’ll see you next week.

Is this league an “open” league? Is there a membership fee? Are you boys looking for more fisherman? Any details worth sharing? Or, (and I can understand this) are you trying to keep it semi-private and a “tight” league? Curious… always looking for an excuse to hit the water… oh, and throw a little competition in… Yeah!!!

It’s not a league by any stretch of the imagination. The only membership fee is the $5 entry fee you pay when you stop at Tri-State Bait and Tackle. It is open to the public and ANYONE can fish these tourneys. Just sign up and be at the designated landing for take off at 5:30. Once a month there is a $30 tourney which you bring in 5 of your biggest fish. The $5 tourneys are a big fish tourney. You and your partner get to bring in one fish each. I hope to see you there! It looks like the tourneys will be staying on pool 7 for the rest of the month as the lower landing below the dam is still under constuction.

Sorry about the league thing ,I think???? Around here we call our weekly stuff the pool league, bowling league, dart league, but this is a week by week thing and unlike most leagues there is no end of the year total points.

Ace’s Wednesday night weekly tourney does have an end of the year total weight prize though.

Regarding keeping it limited , etc I’m sure it would be even more fun with 100 anglers.. Best part is that it usually pays down 5 places, so even us wannabes have a chance

No apologies needed. Everybody has their own way of describing things. When I hear the word league I think of softball, baseball, etc….. I’ve just never talked of it as a league. I suppose we could call it the BFL Bob’s Fishing League But, I heard there is some other group that has that moniker. Ever heard of it?

After last night, DEFINITELY NOT. My Dad whopped my arse REAL hard. I felt like a complete and total moron out there. Then at the end of the night he starts rubbing it in really hard, so I told him that was his Father’s Day gift, a first class butt kickin’ of yours truly. Like I always say, sometimes the pigeon, sometimes the statue.

If you want to cart beer around during those tourneys, go ahead. Good luck explaining it to the Feds when they check you for your license.

Can you pay at the landing or do you have to go to the bait shop and pay? I don’t get done at work until 4 and by the time I get the boat and stuff I would be pushing it to be there by 5:30. Where do you take off from? I would like to give one of these a try. It would be an excellent opportunity for my 11 year old. I think he would enjoy it. Thanks for any help.
