After three and half weeks of outstanding backwater wood bass’n and slough walleye fishing the backwaters went slack for me three days ago. The channel rocks and dam areas have more than made up for it though( the average walleye size is still on the smaller side). Even with slightly higher than normal water on lots of the rocks the bass and walleye have moved in to take up residence. You do have to work harder though because for whatever reason there is still a ton of grass floating around. Oh well wait till next week and the puzzles pieces will rearrange again.

Rumor was that it was pool 9’s turn but flow and level is still higher than normal for the years that we don’t get the couple days of June monsoons. Also most of the grass is floating and in the current.
