    and why?

I gots me a vintage 175hp Johnson Ficht motor

I think I might have one of the last of the 1998 year class still running,I think because I run wot all the time

I’m not bashing anybody that has one and I’m sure they run better then they have but I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever(you get the point) buy another omc or a new tech motor meaning opti max, pdi,or ficht until they have proven themselves!!

when OMC filed bankruptcy I was screwed, they didn’t honor my warranty which I had a year left on and my own dealer wouldn’t take the boat on trade..I even hauled it to Oklahoma to trade it in at one of the worlds biggest champ dealers they wouldn’t as well after they told me they would over the phone!

So with that bad taste in my mouth I wish I had a Mecr or a yamahopper!!!!!!!

What’s on the back of your bass rig???

I’m “running” (crawling, really) with a 50 Mariner. That said, my ‘bass boat’ is a 1988 Bayliner.

While I can’t go 90 with my hair on fire, it has been one of the most reliable internal combustion engines that I’ve ever owned. It might smoke and it’s hard on gas, but there’s something to be said for stoneage technology.
