WELL GUYS/GIRLS I WAS HANDED 10 BAGS OF THESE NEW SUPERPLASTICS THE OTHER DAY! SO I HIT THE WATER NEW BAITS IN HAND STARTED WITH THE CRAWS! TOOK ABOUT 10min. TO GET ONE ON THE HOOK SO THAT IT WAS STRAGHT! WHILE FISHING THE CRAW I NOTED IT WOULD RIDE UP ON THE Z BEND PART OF THE HOOK AND LOOK FUNNY IN THE WATER! I DID CATCH A FEW FISH ON IT AND HOOK SETTING WAS EASY WITH THEM! I THEN MOVED OVER TO THE RUBBER WORM SAME THING RIDES UP ON THE HOOK! AND DONT WRAP ONE AROUND A TREE LIMB! THE WORMS ARE VERY STICKY AND SOMEHOW WRAPPED IT’S SELF AROUND THE LIMB NOT THE LINE THE WORM! I PULLED ON IN AND PULLED SOME MORE AND LOOK OUT WHEN IT COMES LOOSE I NEVER SEEN A WORM HIT MACH SPEED BUT THIS ONE DID AND ALMOST GOT THE WEDDING TACKLE ! THIS NEW PLASTIC IS ALMOST UNBREAKABLE
AS I HAD TO CUT THE CRAWS WITH A KNIFE TO USE AS A JIG TRAILER! I LIKE THE LINE OF BAITS IF THERE WHERE A EASY WAY TO THREAD THEM ON THE HOOKS! SO IF ANY OF YOU OUT THERE GOT A IDEA SHOOT IT OUT HERE! AS I’M SURE THERE ARE OTHERS ON THE BOARD THAT HAVE TRYED THESE BAITS!

I bought quite a few bag of these baits too, only to be left wishing I hadn’t. One thing I found with the tubes, is they rarely stay hooked and will slide up the hook and up the line when casting. You are dead on about them wrapping themselves around whatever they can. Those will be the last bags I buy. I find powerbait to be much more manageable and catches more fish.

I have the same opinion. I’ll stick to the old stuff. The one place I do like 3X is carolina rigging. They really float off the bottom.

Whatever you do, DON’T place them in the same bag or box as other plastics you might have. THEY MELT! Actually, it must have something to do with the oil on the other baits, but I had all the 3X plastics actually just disintegrate right in my tackle box! I think I’ll just stick to the old stand-by’s.
