What I mean about 1 800 dial a bass is the guys that prefish or fish with their binocs and cell phones instead of doing their own home work and finding things out on thier own.I also mean the guys that see a “local pro aka hotdog” in a spot and when they see them they are on the phone to thier bud telling him who he saw and where and as soon as the “local pro leaves” Mr. 1 800 dial a bass rushes right over to check out what he was fishing.
Here is a true story..My partner and I was on a roll a couple years ago(we won or finished in the top 3 seven weeks in a row) and we’d be out prefishin one time and I looked at this other boat that was still in the water for a while and I seen a glare coming from the boat,well after a bit we seen him with a pair of binocs glued to his head and after we started idling out of the area he rushed over to see what we were fishing.
I’ve seen it where when you come to the weigh in and it seems everybody new where you fished even if you seen just one or two other boats and I imagine it is the same way with walleye and crappie fisherman.
I’m not tooting my own horn here but it got so bad I went out and bought a new flatboat and we pre-fished out of that trying to look like a perch jerker and when people caught on to that I bought a canoe..yep I said it I bought a canoe to pre-fish out of and you know what it worked next is a float tube with a trollin motor on it 
!!
I’d hate to be as good as ottens,Gillette,flack,monsoor,felderman,furberger,ackley,shriner and the rest of the “local pros” I imagine it has only gotten worse!!
Has the competition goten so bad that guys forget the old school “go out and spend time on the water figure things out on your own and keep things to yourself” ways or has it turned into to the dial a bass situation????
I know there is guys out there with some horror stories,let’s here them!!
