I was down on the lower part of pool 4 on Tuesday June 3 and we found them on some wingdams or current breaks. We were at Wabasha. We did not see large numbers but I am sure they are around. Good luck

They are hot and heavy between Rads landing and alma. Try wingdams that dont have a ton of current also bottoms of island where the current backs off. There are some big ones in there too! Topwater seems to get em going, also spinnerbaits and white grubs.

Went out about 7 last night with my 4 year old girl and when I pulled up on the wingdam that I wanted the water was just boiling.
My only words to her were “we are going to catch fish tonight!”
Had just a blast!! Between 7pm and dark I my have had 2 casts that did not produce fish. Many were in the 17″ range. I threw on a popper for her and BAM they just it.
Really her first time when fishing like that. I’m not sure who had the better time!
Got some pics on a portable camera I always keep in the boat. That is exactly why I moved back to Winona and the Mississippi. Well worth the pay cut I took to do it.

No this was on pool 6 by Winona, but my buddy up on 5 in Wabash said that he found them as well last night mixed in with some nice smallies. Keep your eyes peeled for them bustin on top and if you have to work for them to long move to the next wingdam or current break.
If you get out good luck and have fun. Hope your are gets worn out!
