I watched all 3 days of the weigh-in this year and it was awesome.
The 82nd Airborne Chorus- That was a great addition to the event.
I was rooting for Terry McWilliams from the Federation Nation. Watching him at the scales today had me choked up. I don’t know him, but just by watching him you can tell he is a class act and has a lot of emotion for the sport.
I also felt this burning desire that I haven’t felt in a long time. I walked away from bass fishing a few years ago due to the political aspect of it. Then I got back into it and love it. I figured out that I can push a majority of the political stuff out of my mind and just concentrate on what I need to do to improve.
It has been quite a few years since I felt a real sense of desire toward something. I may never get the respect from most of the bass guys on here, at least I haven’t yet, but I also know that I don’t need to impress anybody either. I have made a vow to myself to fish as many tournies as I can this year and build from there. In the future I would like to join a club that is B.A.S.S. affiliated, but there isn’t any in this area that will allow me to join The one club I will NOT be a member of again and the other doesn’t have any openings.
All I can say is the Classics were great this year
