I have the falcon FTO and like it- problem is there are too many options (imo) to fit everything in there without combining compartments, so I end up putting finesse stuff in another box. By the time you separate straight shanks, ewg, thin wire, heavy duty and all the different weights and carolina rig components it is full and leaves little room for finesse stuff. If you are fishing co-angler and space is at a premium I think it would be ok, you will have to combine some hook sizes/styles to have room for finesse stuff but the fto boxes are well built and dont spill over into other compartments with the fixed dividers.
February 14, 2007 at 3:44 pm #536770I’ve got the falcon box and it seems to work for me. However, any sort of specialized terminal tackle used for drop-shotting or treble hooks for my cranks, etc. that I’m not using everytime I fish, gets put into the small waterproof planos and so my falcon doesn’t end up looking like yours

let me work up some numbers
i would like to down size this–i usually have more stuff than my boaterFebruary 14, 2007 at 8:47 pm #536915I was also curious what is wrong with the box you have shown in the picture.
February 15, 2007 at 3:59 pm #537261i usually have more stuff than my boater
you are a nightmare non-boater.
February 15, 2007 at 4:22 pm #537269My theory is… well… bring it all! Buy a big enough bag to carry your Plano 3700 boxes… Mine carries 7!
February 15, 2007 at 4:34 pm #537273ya, nothing like tripping over stuff you’re not going to use all day. Its always good to weight the boat down as heavy as possible too, so when you need to run over sand bars and get around in shallow spots its as tough as possible.
February 15, 2007 at 4:50 pm #537280Ask Wingdam… his carries 10, but of course, he doesn’t weigh much personally, so he is usually forgiven!
February 15, 2007 at 5:44 pm #537310oh ok. I misunderstood you. You said ” I usually bring more than my boater”. Or something very similiar to that. I took that as the dreaded non-boater. Bringing all kinds of junk you tell them they won’t need.

No worries… I usually am the boater (which is why no fish are caught), but when I go non-boater, I follow standard protocol and ask what and how we will be fishing and bring the gear required… then, of course, bring the rain gear, spare set of clothes, extra sandles, Toilet Paper, kitchen sink, and a HUGE cololer full of NewCastle!
February 15, 2007 at 6:31 pm #537335You know what kills me??? A boater that complains that the co-brings too much gear and then when the co starts outfishing him, has the boys to ask if you have another bait like that one!
February 15, 2007 at 7:14 pm #537356ya whatever. You want to know what kills me??? When you try to tell a non what the plan is and how you’re going to go about it a team( so to speak). They bring all kinds of stuff that they’ll never throw that day. You get them around fish and they aren’t catching them cause they keep throwing what they throw at home. At the end of the day there all whiney cause they didn’t tear up the fish. But at least they had all there fantastic secret lures with them all day. I guess then theres no excuse huh?
I’m sorry, I’ve just had some real bad partners over the years.February 15, 2007 at 8:01 pm #537382I hear ya… I’ve seen both ends of the spectrum entered as both co and boater. I just don’t like boaters treating co’s as second class citizens.

February 15, 2007 at 11:12 pm #537504Eric. Could be like Aarons boat and just throw it all by the trolling motor pedal!
