As some of you know already the pool 9 bass bite is nothing less than outstanding. The Bucketmouth fairy is sprinkling bite dust all over the Largemouth and the smallmouth are not far behind. Both 1/8th oz with fluttertail and Rattlin Rap generics were putting the hurt on both species. The fluttertail was way in the lead now. Larger female smallies are all that were missing to make it a perfect day.
I sight fished for a 5#+ Bucketmouth yesterday for almost two hours and couldn’t get her to do anything, but it was fun. I am amazed at some of the clearer water I found. I could see 12 inches or more down in some areas. The bucketmouth I was teasing was only about 8 inches down, just hanging around in 2.5 feet of water and talk about a beeeeautiful sight. I kept getting bit off by snakes in the same area so maybe that is why she ignored my masterful techniques
