I fished the great river open out of fountain city on sunday. My partner and I finished third with 16.16 lbs. 1st place was 17-plus with all smallmouth. We had 5 average largemouth and one giant 4.5 largemouth that won big bass for the tournament. We also caught her about 15 minutes before weigh-in! Let that be a lesson to all tournament fisherman…. never give up! Caught most of our fish in pool 5 on spinnerbaits and tubes. The big bass was caught right near fountain city in pool 5a on a black/chartreuse salt craw. (JC, thanks for the helpful info, check your pm’s)
