ok here goes,
you favorite go to lure, the way you present it and why it is your clutch lure in tight times when you need to get fish in the boat.
I will start, mine is either a scummie or a spro frog, I have found that even the littlier 1 to 2 pounders are fun to catch on top waters, not as good of a bite like in the morning or later evenings, but still can be had on just about anywhere.
looking forward to reading what everyone else has to say.

January 2, 2007 at 7:42 pm #517323Okay,
Did anyone get a chance to see Midwest Outdoors on Saturday? If you did you would have seen the WBFN Team Champion Mike Mattis bass fishing on pool 4.
I would also like to wish Mike the very best at the upcoming Federation Nation Championship!! It would not surprise me at all if he goes on to the Bassmasters Classic. The dude can fish!!
If any of you are up for some free beer, swing over to Warners Dock in New Richmond this Friday, and Saturday. Larry Nixon will be there with the FLW show trailer doing seminars. Warner’s Dock will have all the latest and greatest Stratos Boats and Evinrude motors on display.
Now we have some stuff to talk about Greg…
See ya Saturday,
SnowmanJanuary 2, 2007 at 7:42 pm #517324I hear you Kenny – looking forward to Warner’s Dock this weekend!
January 2, 2007 at 7:45 pm #517327Good topic Shane – my favorite lure – swim jig – no doubt at all – so versatile. # 2 Shakey Head – no doubt on that either.
January 2, 2007 at 7:56 pm #517338well I posted another good question, one that I have a hard time with and I know that there are some people out there that have this area of fishing down pat. looking forward to the answeres.

January 2, 2007 at 7:58 pm #517341Forgot all about Warners this weekend, will have to stop by. I normally use spinners because I can do alot with them. Slow em down or speed em up or just jig with them.
January 2, 2007 at 10:17 pm #517456Ill second the swim jig as my first and follow up with the Senko – Wacky style. Seems to get good results when times are tough. We’ll see if it holds true again this year.
January 2, 2007 at 11:46 pm #517507Hands down, Picthin a craw tube…….
I”ve some big pigs on them. You just never know when the bog boy will be on the other end.Love the top water frog also. Some of the best trips my son and I’ve had.
CentralBassmanPosts: 341January 3, 2007 at 2:40 am #517605Its hard to pick one i love them all.. But i would say either a Shaky Head worm or a Senko. I do like craw tubes as well.. its hard to pick, a lot of it depends on the type of season and cover im fishing!!
January 3, 2007 at 3:43 am #517637For pure numbers i use the DT’s, but what i really like is plastics. Tubes, worms ,creature any thing plastic. Anyone that has been in my boat and seen my plastics know what im talking about.Fish them weighted,no weight, drag em,hop them. fish them slow- fast.Just gotta luv plastic
January 3, 2007 at 3:45 am #517639Jig and pig hands down produces the biggest for me, funnest to fish would be a Buzzbait or anyother topwater, best #’s go to a wacky rigged senko or a tube
January 3, 2007 at 4:37 am #517675If I’m throwing a senko there is a good chance my day is already shot! If you’re talking about needing fish in a tournament, I typically grind out the day sticking to my original game plan…which never includes finesse fishing .
January 3, 2007 at 7:40 am #517729It depends here. Just messin’ around fishing could be anything. In a tourney, a crankbait. Pitched tight, and cranked fast. Less room for error and high hit to land ratio. Power fishing. Day in and out however, probably a tube or 4 inch ringworm. And yes, I do catch a few blue gills and the like. Gets annoying, but at least I stay interested and in tune. Sometimes I feel like I have ADD or something. Anyways. Some claim they can tell the difference between a panfish and a bass hit. I used to think so too until I landed a pretty LMB almost 5 lbs when I thought I was setting up on a sunfish. Sometimes the big guys feel light, sometimes not. Lesson learned, set it. And NO, I am not talking about those machine gun hits. You know what I mean.
January 3, 2007 at 1:56 pm #517747Toxic waste swim jig, Black Neon Tube, or a little crank depending on where you are fishing are my go too’s. Why they all produce number of fish, with a kicker mixed in sometimes.
The crank and tube for rock.
The tube for anything.
The swim jig for covering alot of water in a hurry.January 3, 2007 at 4:38 pm #517822I liked using BC’s gill swim jig a lot this year. But otherwise, a 1/4 oz swim jig is my main bait and the color is variable. Spring-Mid summer= dark colors. I like anything that represents sunfish, hence the BC’s gill. Late summer-fall, I like white, silver and gold to represent that flash that the shad give off.
a frenzy lipless crankbait was very hard to beat all year long.
January 4, 2007 at 7:56 pm #518523Manns Baby 1 Minus in some green topped shad bottom color I can’t seem to find anymore.
Also, Jigs (Swim&Shakes included)
January 5, 2007 at 7:14 am #518850Silly bass guys, everyone knows that all you need is 1/2 ounce Traps, all you gotta do is crank um fast!
January 5, 2007 at 3:43 pm #518940Silly eye guys, everyone knows you just need a leadhead and minnow . All you have to do is hit low on the trolling motor and go.
January 6, 2007 at 4:58 pm #519244As I’ve said before, catching fish on LIVE bait is like setting a bowl of MAC & CHEESE in front of a kid. Of course they are going to eat it!!! Silly walleye guys…
CentralBassmanPosts: 341January 7, 2007 at 2:10 am #519332Tubes are my go-to baits, to many great ones to list. Favorite is buzzbait or the Spro bronzeye frog, topwater
