Why do I continue to receive non-bass stuff for Christmas? ALL my family and friends know by now all they have to do is get a gift that is bass-related and I’ll love it! Clothes, movies, blah, blah, blah…WHY?

My perfect Christmas will be when I walk away from the Christmas tree shuffling a stack of Bass Pro Shops gift cards!

Did any of you get cool bass stuff?

However… if there was one gift in the world that could possibly be cooler than a bass-related item, I GOT IT! Check this out. It’s an everyday belt buckle with a bottle opener hidden behind the buckle! SWEET!

LOL a friend of mine has one of those belt buckles..

As far as bass stuff..Not really. I got a ton of money which I could spend on an enormous ammount of bass gear, but I’m getting a digital cam corder. Come spring, I’ll be shooting my own bass videos. For now, its going to be footage mostly of gills and crappies through the ice, but I might try to make a video of jiggin’ some bass If we get the ice to get to the spots I need…
My uncle wrote me an IOU for a 150 dollar gander mountain card in the spring that should be usefull

I hear ya. I haven’t spent any money on bass gear yet, but come february, I’m sure that over a hundred bucks will be spent with that itchy, painful anticipation. right now, I’m focused on ice fishing, Trying my best not to think about bass fishing, because its too early to have spring fever

BPS Giftcard, Tackle Bag, and enough stuff to return at Macy’s to get a new pair of sweet a## sunglasses. And I haven’t seen pops yet! I feel your pain though, I just make it as clear as I can Hoodies, gift cards, or fishing, and I will smile. I have a wonderful woman to dress me and I doubt she needs anyones help.
I do have a worst present ever story for you guys though. The super duper deluxe mixer whatever, whatever, whatever my mom buys me. I am in college and return it for the $250 thinking no problem. Well 9 months later my mom is asking about so I have to run out find the stupid thing and through down $250 right befor christmas. And now I am stuck luging this thing through 2 states and 4 moves and it is 40lbs + and to top it off I left it my dads when I moved and he to move it all over place to keep the thing out of his way. The moral to this story if you really want revenge on your children buy them a mixer that weighs over 40lbs and make sure they keep it.

My family more or less has given up on trying to get me anything other than bass fishing stuff. I guess I pissed and moaned enough for them to get the hint. It only took them 20 years of bitchen. Many gift cards and fishing garb for me

I did pretty well- i learned early in my relationship with me wife if i give a detailed yet extensive list of wants betwen her and my inlaws i fare well. got new frog toggs, a battery jumper (for those long days on the trolling motor with no recharge of the starting battery), and some odds and end lures. I was happy with that and my dad decided to sponsor me for 200 bucks worth of bps gift cards which will be well spent no doubt.

I just got to cleaning my stuff up and figuring what i need, just in time for boat shows and manic spending! Happy New Year to all.
