Well I went out for two hours to check two of my walleye spots.

All I could find were grass carp.

I took three 16 inchers with a purple chartrese tail ringworm on a 1/8 ounce black head.

Then I switched to a fire cracker K-Grub 1/8 ounce head.

The switch produced this toad that weighed 3 pounds 9.6 ounces.

I was concentrating on a 20 foot drop off.

The weather today is awesome for pitchin deep water.

Wow not a breeze to be seen.

I hope this weather holds for another week..

I am only working Tuesday and fishing the rest of the week weather permitting.

    Thanks guys,
I must tell the whole story.
Last night in the dark I got my boat on the trailer kitty whamppus.(I like makin up words). So before I trailered back up to Redwing I wanted to get it on right.
So this am I went to the harbor to relaunch it. Well when I hit the water the river was calling. Two quick stops and I will go get some work done.
End results 4 bass with one toad.
John my lips are sealed…it is a wintering hole.

Nice fish… It’s a good thing my boat is wintered a couple hours away or I would’ve been buzzin the river with it last week. With the duck hunting being slow I was real close to getting it back out!
