We went out Sunday night for about 4 hrs. and caught and released 3 bass. We put in at the Brice Prairie landing and fished the slop of that channel with no luck. I pitched a jig to a laydown where the slop finally cleared out a bit at the end of the channel and caught a 13″ lmb. Then, fished the rip rap on broken gun island and caught a 13″ smb out near the boat…apparently not on the rip rap. The last lmb, a 16 incher, came from pitching the jig to pads in 9-12 feet of water between Rosebud Island and a small island just off of Schafers boat landing (I think that’s the place). Anyway, it’s just such a huge lake and I was wondering if anyone could give me a little summary of the bass fishing there…it seems like there could be a lot more there than what we experienced. I’d like to show my partners some more action next time, so I’d appreciate any info. Thanks!
