This should make your blood boil! There is not one thing mentioned about the pens or everything else they did wrong, or any of the events/studies where all the fish survived (sturgeon bay, tomahawk, madison chain 4-man classic). This is in the latest Department of Natural Reasources magazine. Go figure. I hope the attachment works if not try and check it out. http://www.wnrmag.com/letters/current.htm

This has been proven wrong time and time again….There are documented studies from FLW of tagged fish that have traveled 10 miles or more to get back to the same spot from which they were caught.

Don’t be fooled by articles such as this. Obviously I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum in relation to this article, but don’t let hidden agenda’s fool you from the truth.

Our Mississippi and many other rivers and lakes in the U.S. are now crowded with full-time, professional contestants in $100,000+ boats, trailers, etc. many of whom have no legitimate occupation. They are rude, thoughtless persons who ignore all common sense and thoughts of courtesy. If you don’t believe me, ask any lock and dam operator (or truly recreational boater) on the Mississippi<——I love the (truly recreational boater) part! Is he referring to the kind of guy that doesn’t know how to launch his boat or the other guy in 50 foot tuna boat that goes screaming by everybody nearly throwing them out of the boat with his ridiculous sized wake just because he loves the way his giant gas eating engine sounds. Seriously though, the people who are against tournaments are starting to make a lot of noise. It seems that they are making a lot more than the guys who fish them. As a tournament angler myself (who doesn’t have $100,000 rig and has a legitimate job) I/we need to start standing up for our rights, because this is starting to get out of control. There is a reason you don’t see any of the good things that have come from the culling studies and that is because the DNR wants to ban tournaments and is giving people who don’t know any better biased information. We need to start makin some noise fellas!
