6 Pound Smallie

    A 6 pound smallie and in a tournament to boot! A fish like this may be common on a body of water like Mille Lac but they are rare on our stretch of the river. I would guess she was my 3rd ever and I may have seen 3 other 6’s weighed in tournaments over the years.

    This old girl anchored our (Eronningen and my) 20 lb 5 oz, 6 fish limit. She hit a pointer 100 on a wing dam. We had 4 other good smallies that came on mimic minnows and a spook.

    Nice Hog That thing really does look like a football

    Did you get a length and girth? I am always interested because I never get a weight on fish before they get released.
