I wonder how the wonderful DNR and State Legislators would feel about a couple 100 to couple thousand boats, trailers, and trucks driving around the capital building as a protest. If you can get rid of a helmet law meant to save lives this way just imagine the power a lot of bright shinny rigs would present let alone the bad press for the congress and Governor. I believe it is time to stop being their whipping boys and time to take a stand. If timed right we could shut down the capital then they will have no choice but to listen. The time for being friends is over, it is time to take the knife the DNR has jammed in our backs out, and take a stand to this insanity before we lose our right to tournament fish altogether.

    Thank you for your time,

    Casey Hewes

I understand some will think that working with these people is the right thing. I only ask what it has gotten other than bad press?

I’m ok with a protest. But lets do it legally. If we just show up this will not help our cause.

One more point. I have a little girl on the way. (January.) I am already dreaming of the day that she want’s to tournament fish with her fauther. For many on this site this day is probably coming soon. If we don’t curb this issue we may never have the opprotunity.

I am not a TRUE tournament fisherman. I compete a couple times a year and usually donate my entry fees. But I love to compete and be around the environment. If we want future generations to have theses experiences it’s time to get involved.

This is not a Bass or Walleye thing. This is a tournament issue. So lets get together and protect our ability to show up and fish.

Hell…. If my kids can’t show up and donate. Whos going to pay Cade and the next generation to fish?

If anyone already has somthing going please let me know.

    Chris
