I spent some time on pool 13 yesterday. I totally forgot about the BFL on Saturday so to say the least things were a little crowded. I really couldn’t believe it, but in too many years of bass fishing I can’t recall a day when the guys were better behaved. I saw everyone slow down and idle past other fishermen, a few guys said hello and chatted a bit, and the ramp wasn’t congested. With the type of press that bass fishermen usually get this sure was a pleasant day. Thanks guys.

By the way, the fishing’s off a little from a couple of weeks ago but I predict the tourn. will be won on 13 with about 15.5 lbs. Good luck to all the guys I saw practicing.

If my father taught me one thing he taught me this. Non-bassfishermen automatically think bass boats spell ignorance and selfishness… even though @ sixtymph I through a smaller wake than 5mph, it is better to just slow down and wave than it is to bomb by.

    Thanks DAD

That’s a good point. We always hear about all the negative stuff that happens but rarely do we hear the good stuff. I had a couple of good experiences with tourney anglers during the Team Supreme tourney at Okoboji earlier this year. The bass anglers I ran into were courteous, friendly, and respectful while I was walleye fishing nearby.

I get really tired of all the bass angler bashing. As in most walks of life, you have your good and your bad. Thank you for sharing a positive experience!
