best lake in minnesota

    I need a vacation, any ideas on the best lake for bass in the lower 1/2 of minn.

    I do not live on the dark side by fishing for grass carp but I hear a lot about Minnetonka and Waconia.

    Minnetonka would be my first choice if I was going to fish for bait oh I mean bass………

    Lake Pepin is loaded with hard fighting smallies.Sheild&Cedar by Fairbo are both very good for largemouth.All under 3hr drive from you.

    Any lake around the Brainerd area. Lots of bass, pan fish and those stinkin walleye’s!

    Lake demontroville, This is a little lake in the west metro and it has been catch and release for bass for several years now. A buddy and i went out there and we couldnt catch a bass under 3 pounds. ike

    thanks guys, I fish fairbault area a lot, i,m lookin for big smallmouth. maybe farther north.

    Green Lake or Koronis, near Paynesville. Try the Stonegate Resort on Koronis, nice place, nice bass….both largemouth and smallmouth. Great beach if you have kids!
