Today i had a great day thanks to the makers of the brovarney swim jig company. I got the boat out around 1 this afternoon and headed for some sloppin I was fishing up north of goose today. I picked up 16 Bass today all on swim jigs the big boy being 18″ I was using the technique that cade suggested the last time i was out fishing with ZoomyHAWG lol. which is to through a swim jig over the mats and i was on fire today with that technique 9 out of the 16 came thanks to BC’s gill patteren. I had to stop after losing 3 of these jigs to northerns and snags so i thought i would try out a sloppy frog pattern this did well also the northern that i caught on the first cast with this bait englfed it It was the smallest northern i have ever caught it was about 8″ and believe it or not it had one of the gills that i lost in its mouth so i retrieved that and got back at it.at the end of the day i had 7 keepers thanks to the new technique i learend and the boys at Brovarney Inc o yeah i caught a 15″ smallie right at the end of the day to so 17 fish 8 keeps What a day. I get to give the madison chain a shot tomorrow. Whats been working for you madison boys?

sounds llike a fun day. brovarney really does make some great swim jigs, im a big fan of the gil pattern. ihave to order some more one of these days. i combine them with a 5″ mag grub, huge tail on it, feels like a colorado blade on that baby, tends to weed out most of the non-keepers you’d usually get.
