MB- are you talking about the Bronzeye or the Jungle Frog?

The JF looks nothing like the Swamp Donkey, but the Bronzeye looks almost exactly the same. The Bronzeye is slightly narrower in the front…

D-nort sorry you feel that way but the numbers that happen in my boat aren’t gonna change just cause you want them too. Sorry they didn’t meet your specifications and your past experience but hey this is not the first time you have disagreed with me and I think I can assume it won’t be the last… I’d like to pretend I’m mad but actually the word would be amused. Just because you don’t like or agree with my experiences or opinions doesn’t mean I’m gonna stop giving them. Like I said I pay full price for my toads and have nothing to gain, except fish in the boat. MAYBE YOU MISSED THIS LINE: “But hey some of these other guys catch a ton of fish on the frogs, I just don’t .”

Ecklr- I’ve never asked you or anyone to not share their opinion nor will I. IDA would be a pretty boring site if everyone thought and believed the same thing. I’m just saying it as I see. Nothing wrong with that.

Dusty- What surprises me the most is I’m on here talking about my frog issues when I don’t even use them in slop fields… . You’re right though, a follow up bait is a must (as long as the fish doesn’t feel a hook when they pop off an h-toad). BTW- are you staying with your Aunt at next week’s BFL or are you going to kick it with the guys?

This seasons hook up ratio has been better than 80% using the Spro Dean Rojas Bronze Eye Frog. The bait is compact and has great walking action when worked in the open pockets. I use-have used the Jungle Frog as well, but have found better success after shaving some of the lead off to make it more user friendly. My experience with the Sumo frog has been good, although I have not has as good a hookup percentage as the Bronze Eye to date. More time on the water in the coming weeks will allow for more slop experimentation.

The Rojas frogs seem to hold up a little better than the Sumos. The hook up % might even be a bit better too…or maybe I’m just getting better at slop fishing
During a tourney this weekend don’t think I missed but one fish out of about 15 that actually had grabbed it…too bad only one was a keeper.

Good old Bobbys Perfect Frog is about as good as they come. The New Baits catcxh alot of fishermen but why would you change something that works so well. I will however Bite and get one… If I am dissapointed Slop owes me a beer.
