So we went fishing instead. Got out for about 3 hours and went exploring. Found a nice current bend onto a weedy flat and the fish were stacked. It didn’t matter what we threw…We caught them on Spinners, Swimjigs, flipping jigs, senko’s, drop-shotting modified flukes, tubes…had a good time. All fish were about this same size, but makes for a fun few hours before Softball

Nice post slop. I was out today with my friend and we found fish to be pretty tough. Well they were cooperating anyway but we should have stayed put because we were running and gunning to try to find a pattern. I was hoping to get back to some bays and islands towards dusk to get some good action once we found the pattern but we got stuck in a pretty decent storm. thats a different storry…
anyway, we were having best luck on swim jigs and spinnerbaits, stuff fished pretty fast. Nothing was caught on plastics. I also caught 2 northerns, a sauger, my friend caught a whitebass in the mix too. He got a nice 3 pound largemouth which was really nice. The fish was obviously spawned out, and would have been a lot heavier if it wasn’t spawned out. It was 17-3/4 inches.
    good luck On the water

ALL I know is that Cade is stomping some IDA Butt in the size category. Good Job Cade. It will suck when you are old enough to fish tournaments. -grin- Keep it up.

heres a good fish from today.. It was skinny, but a long 18 inches. Almost 3 lbs but too skinny to be 3, just barely under. Post spawn Hey sorry the pic sucks, somehow it turned out extra small. The bait was a brovarney swim jig: purple/blue tinsle with a kalins grub smoke blue
