Looking for an online source to calc some smallie weights. We got one on eye opener on Mille Lacs that was 19.5″ long. Didn’t get girth though.

She was a football though!! What does a 20″ smallie usually weigh??

So when I get my 25 this weekend I should consider it a dandy??

Why does it take a walleye guy to answer a bass question?

Sorry Kooty, But I’m a smallie nut!!!!!!! I’ll be out and about looking for the bass this weekend. It might be a bit early with the way our water temperature is right now…..They like warm water!!

    An honest fisherman

I am with you on this one Bobber. I will fish for anything BUT smallies are what I wake up for each day.

Just something to remember, Lake smallies tend to have a bit more weight to them, than river smallies. I am sure you knew that though.

I found this one also, but everything seems geared towards largies. I sure hope I don’t catch any of those slimy things.

    Length cubed over 1600

This is the most accurate formula I have seen yet…

Guys we are talking to a walleye fisherman IN English please.

It probably would help to type slower too.

For largemouth, the most accurate I have seen is length^2 x girth / 1200. That works only if you get a girth measurement…

For smallmouth, length^3 / 1800. The “bass” formula (length^3/1600) tends to over-estimate actual smallie weights, especially outside the spawn, and also for “river” smallies.

I guess it won’t matter. After I catch Slider’s pet 25″ fish, it will be all over but the singing(drinkin’ and partyin’)!!

Now I just gotta figure out how to get the fish certified and back in the lake. Wouldn’t that be a good problem to have this weekend!!!

    Thanks everyone!!!

Good luck with the fish, as I did not even tell you about that spot. You should NOT be with in 1 mile of that fish.
