By the duck bill at Bob’s or Gander or wherever… head to Mike’s building supply in Onalaska and get a commercial grade collapsable painting pole (fiberglass). They extend to nearly 10 feet and collapse to 5 feet and fit nicely in the rod locker. They are yellow, too… can see it if you drop it in. Of course, if you plan to use it to duck hunt, the duck’s might see you!

How did you attach the duck bill to the pole? That’s what I used before…I inserted part of a paint roller handle into the top of the duck bill so it would screw right on to the standard metal fitting on the end of the pole. Believe it or not, the plastic didn’t break…the metal fitting cracked in half. Yes, I was severely stuck.

I attached a piech of aluminum tubing that I found at Fleet farm to my duck bill.

Drill a couple holes then run galvinised nut and bolts threw.

This isn’t high tech but it works

I take a length of pvc/plumbing pipe, whatever works best (about 8′ usually) and then put a “T” at the end of it. I think it’s 2.5 or 3″ maybe.

Suprisingly strong, light and basically disposable. Spray it camo if you want Saying that my current one has lasted 10 years.
