I am sure many of you are aware that the Big Show is going on right now and that you have your favorites. I just have to mention that one of my best friends and mentors is currently in 3rd place and holds big bass honors after the first day. They boated a 6.2lb spot. I hope that those of you whom are undecided wish them luck and bestow upon them any blessings you can take time to give. Thanks all !!

The Combs are the ones who kick butt down here. They are a father and son team who are always tough. I think they won it last year .

Just got back from fishing in the Team Supreme Championship. Had a great time, my partner and I finished 44th out of 171 boats. We blanked on the final day when our kentucky bass shut down with the 32 degree temps, otherwise we might have got a check. My dad and uncle were in 2nd after day two, they also were stumped by the spotted bass on the final day and finished in 7th. They still got a good check for getting big bass on day 2 with a 6.4 largemouth and largest sack of the tournament with over 20 pounds. Table Rock Lake was challenging, but I learned a lot, great tournament and I hope to fish it again next year. Pray they have it on the upper Mississippi!

Your folks are the howlands huh. I see them frequently.
Do you fish the Team Supreme as well? I can’t place you face but I see you often cover things up with those glases.

Congratulations Sports Anchor, That’s some pretty good competition you went up against. I know quite a few guys from around here that didn’t fair as well as you did. It sounded like the fish were tough to pattern and stay on from day to day.

My dad is Tom and my uncle is Bob Howland. I fished two Super North tournaments as a sub for my uncle and also fished a couple on the minnesota division. I’d like to fish them again this year, but I’ll be spending a lot of time on the road fishing as a co-angler in the Everstart north division.

Thanks basspack. It was a challenging tournament to say the least. Table Rock is the largest body of water I’ve ever fished a tournament. The weather went from 80’s to 30’s by the final day. Water temps were I was fishing dropped from 59 down to 48 on the final day and I just didn’t have a good backup plan. Probably should have found some fish up the rivers in the warmer waters. Just like every tournament, you always learn something from it!

Yep, and I too work in Austin. So, i figured you would have left with Brandy. She’s looks like she would be worth following.
