i just got my boat back from storage and am eager to get out fishing on pool 8. Any ideas on where to go to catch some bass or even some northerns?. i was thinking back in some bays behind the hospital in 3-4 feet of water. do you think they will be shallower than that. what would be a better lure choice. white fluke worked slow? or a slow rolling spinner. any suggestions would be great.

Is the water open yet? are you seeing much boat action? I’m from Rochester, but fish that area once in a while, can’t wait to hook into some northern/bass action! I don’ t have any early/cold suggestions for you, but would love to hear the same tips!

I was out on pool 8 Sunday and pulled a nice bass. The water temp is right around 40 and they are very sluggish. There is still some ice to be found floating in some of the backwater areas yet so be careful when runing a glass boat. My fish came from a steep sloping bank on the north side of a small bay.
