    I am lookin for info on bass/northern fishin on the mississippi around lacrosse. I explored lake onalaska, and the black river from the spillway down a few miles, and had one outing below the dam/interstate and managed to pull out a 16# northern! What a blast. I am hoping to spend some time there this year, and I would love any tips on where to try, what to look for..etc. Good Luck Fishin!

    For some good small mouth action try the rock piles at the end of the pool before the next lock and damn. work the front edges with plastic or a jerk bait.

    Yes, Their are a series of them way at the end of pool 8 on the MN side of the river. Also the entrance to Lawrance lake has a nice rip rap area that will hold some smallies.
