Northwoods and I went out this morning for a couple hours of bass fishing at Goose Island. The weather was chilly and wet and the fishing action was SLOOOOW! I caught a smallie and two LM’s which were my first bass of the year. The one pictured above was a whopping 13.5″.

Looks to me like you still had fun even though it rained. Since the fish don’t care if it rains as they are wet already we might as well catch them.
    Thanks, Bill

The weather wasn’t ideal, but we had a great time. Karl and I both work during the week and Sunday being Mother’s Day left only Saturday to go. They say the best time to go fishing is when you can.

In between fish, Karl and I had fun talking about the important things in life–wives, kids, and why the Cardinals will always be better than the Cubs. At least half of us in the boat believe that.

Like my dad frequently says about some of his fishing trips, “The fishing was fantastic, even though the catching wasn’t!”
