Just wondering if any of you out there built your own rods. I picked up the hobby a few years ago.

I’ve been doing it for about ten years now, but I haven’t built too many the past couple of years.

It would be good day to be building one today. I have been buidling for some time now, my own and family use. Nothing fancy. Cabelas has some good pieces to work with.
What I find interesting is how the ones I build seem to go in cycles- started out with an UL, then jigging, rigging, and now thinking I could use another crappie rod- L-O-L!!!

Mike from Hooked on Fishing builds rods.

i have made somewhere between afew and alot of rods. It is good time. What keeps me doing it is the quality you get for such a small price tag. I know that if anyone out there makes one of their own rods that they are probably hooked on doing it or at least having someone else do it. Love the quality and they always look sharp. I know one particular fella who has sold them right out of his boat while fishing. i thought that was pretty cool. Keep spinning them fellas, ike
