Was a single staff member let go? Yes. Has anyone else been banned or “shuffled out?” No. People come, people go. What people choose to post/not post is up to them.
Are there lots of great members who read the Bass forum and have lots to offer? Unequivocally, yes.
I’ve been talking to lots of Bass forum readers lately and answering lots of questions. The one thing I tell them all, is ‘you get as much out of the forums, as you put in.’
April 20, 2006 at 1:31 pm #439791Everyone caught fish, but no one caught any real big fish. I think there were 8 2-fish limits, and the biggest weight was 5.6 pounds by Sloppy and Taun. Lots of 14-15 inchers. Not sure what big fish was, I was searching for the beer cooler at that time.
April 20, 2006 at 1:31 pm #439792I couldnt agree more. You cant forget about all of the conversations that go on in p.m. also. I have been part of lots of them that have started b/c of threads on the bass forum. I think its been a bit of a bummer since we lost one of our staff guys but as you can see he is still around.
The season is just starting to gear up and guys are spending more time on the water and I for one will really be trying to put more info up with what I find on the river pre fishing for St judes and such.April 20, 2006 at 1:36 pm #439795Well I only posted what seems correct to me. It wasn’t meant to be a slam to the forum. Just an observation from the outside looking in.
One person may have been let go but I believe that has also in turn really affected how many others used to post. Don’t be blind to that. And don’t get me wrong, I am not sore about whatever happened, I just think it was the wrong move. No worries.
You are right about getting out what you put in. Thankfully I don’t rely on hear say to get on fish. Its nice though, to have lots of links and discussion on other topics.April 20, 2006 at 1:44 pm #439798Champman,

I want to specifically thank Blue Fleck and a couple others for sending me a pm and assuring me of better things to come. Blue went out of his way to admit his faults and point out the good things of this site. I can say now, i spend a lot more time here because! I also, for one like the Thurs. morning chatter about the jerkin lips, it is entertaining to say the least!!!
