First fish of year, feels good

Props to member aWelter for giving me some ideas when i wasn’t getting any bites tonite so i called him up to see what he thought would be working. he said hit a bank by a certain bridge slow rolling a spinnerbait. after working the downstream banks, i went up stream and hit a boulder strewn embankment with a Strike King premier pro model 1/2 oz spinnerbait, white w/ double colorado blades, just reeling it in regularly, not burning or slow rolling. he hit after about 4 feet of line reeled in. he didnt fight really hard, just went into deeper water, but it was completely in his mouth, he defintely ate it. no trailer hook necessary. 16″ largemouth, 2 1/2 lbs. good looking fish. home to add a dozen more tommorrow..

yeah. im surprised, i’ve had a tough time getting on fish. only got one in an hour of solid fishing. should be on more bites than this.
