I just got off the river, what a great evening. I was fishing a back water in about 15 feet of water in some brush. I caught 5 bass on Green Chomper tubes. They were all between 2 and 3 pounds. They were suprisingly aggresive. They would hit the tube 2 to 3 times before they dicided to eat it. I got out on the water about 4pm the wind was blowing about 15 mph. I did not take the camera out because I was out looking for crappie and found the bass. I will be packing the camera from now on. Gentlemen I think SPRING IS HERE!!!

Nice job on the bass Sly….

So you were fishing for crappies w/Chompers tubes and caught bass

If you don’t mind me asking, where did you launch from?

    Sly,

Good job on the Bass! I find it hard to believe you were fishing for Crappies with green Chompers tubes.

And Sly, don’t answer that last question!!! Slop’s fishing for spots!!!

I started out looking for crappies. Every bass fisherman always carries some of his bass stuff even if he is fishing for another species. I never go out fishing without my tubes or bass jigs. Truthfully I just put my boat in the water for the first time this year (better late then never). I was just scouting a couple of spots and cruising around looking for future crappie and or bass holes. They are alot easier to find when the water flow is down. If I could catch crappies on chompers you know they would be some big slabs LOL. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
