Pools 4 & 5

    See Brook Trout’s pool 5 fishing report. Things are about to break loose but nothing solid. We picked up a few small smallies fishing for walleyes on pool 5. Finding a place to launch on pool 4 is an issue right now. La Couplis is open open but a NW wind can fill that corner with ice so be carefull. Wilcox and the Wabasha harbor are still iced-over. I’m guessing it will be a week before the public launch is open.

    Thanks for the tip RiverFan. Seems like getting a boat out there always depends on the wind!
