fish scales

    I am looking to purchase a digital fish scale. What do you think of the Xtools digital scale? They go for around $80.00 at Cabelas. Are they easy to handle, the directions say to lift up on bar to open the scale’s jaws but as you do this it seems it would be awkward to regrip the scale without letting go of it first. Has anyone used one of these scales?

    I love my Xtools scale. They are simple to use and are very accurate. I don’t find the lift bar awkward, it really works nice, I can hold the scale and lift the bar at the same time. The gripper arms wont let go either, the fish just don’t flop off like they did on my other scale with a hook on it.
