Hot Springs AR area lakes

    Has anyone ever been to to the lakes around Hot Springs, Arkansas bass fishing. Ouachita, Hamilton, & Catherine wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I’ll be heading done there April 1st, I was thinking that should be the start of the spawn.

    Ghostzapper, I lived down there for 4 yrs. and your going to have a blast fishing!! If it was my trip I would head right to Ouachita, its one of the clearest lakes you will ever see. Watch for snakes in the over-hanging branches, they like to drop into the boats.Fishin is great—Good luck, Greg

    My husband and I had fished De Gray Lake back in the 80’s. It was a hot spot for Bass at that time. And also had nice camping areas as well.

    Hey Ghostzapper, go to Arkansas Game & Fish Commision You can sign up there for weekly updates of every lake and river in the state. They’ll tell you where to look for the Pigs, and what to toss at them, along with water temps, clarity and depth!
