this is what makes IKE great and so popular

Not trying to start a another IKE DQ post, but just simply stating that this is why he is the most popular angler in the world…

My son Aaron and I were at the E-50 last summer in Wisconsin, we had a chance to get his autograph. My son Aaron had his picture taken with Mike.
The last day of the tournament, Ike was there for the start of the final tournament day, he didn’t make the cut, but he stayed around until every kid
that was there was gone. There was a group ok kids towards the end that wanted his autograph, he signed their things, but not before the kids signed
Is tackle box. That Plano box must have had 100 names on it. He made them kids feel pretty special. He’s a good guy, a little wild and loud.

Speaking of Ike, I think he was sitting in 5th place at Lake Amistad after day 1 yesterday. About a 30# bag for 5.

And Byron Velvick……….Dead last place.. 1 fish for a little over 2#.

Has Byron made a cut in the last 3 years.

More time spent fishing and less on hair maintenance perhaps?

    I guess I shouldn’t make fun, he’s got a good gig.

I am taking a wild guess, here, but I bet the guy has 500+ rods that haven’t even had a reel on them yet..
That is probably just what he carries in his boat- Or is that what you were referring to Dan?
A good friend of mine, has over 1000 rods and reels..he has one room in his basement…full of only RODS..
Some people have too much money…
