No Cull Rule

    I remember that there has been a few different posts on this sight for this rule in Wis. They are also starting to try to get the ball rolling to get rid of this on the Wisconsin BASS federation sight. Any of you that are interested in this may want to take a peek at this sight. I will also try to post some info that may be important from there on this sight when the ime comes. This issue seems to be just in the begging stages here, but it sounds like the club reps from around the state are meeting with a person from the DNR on this issue. From what I understood they will be lookig for support from all bass fishermen and women on this issue, members or not. I will keep you posted.

    Stay tuned to the wisconsinbass.com website to see what is being done about this horrible rule. If all of us river bass fisherman voice our opinion along with the Federation, we hopefully can eventually get the no cull rule out of here. Then we can finally see the FLW, BASS tournaments in Wisconsin and on the Mississppi!!

    In reply to the no-cull rule and WI Bass Fed…our club from Oshkosh is in the midst of drawing up a petition for the law makers in Madison on this subject. One of the reasons it has not been dealt with is the no-cull rule as of now stands for all species. Some of the talk from Madison was to try to eliminate Bass as a species. Not the whole ball of fish. As a club we realize that it is an uphill battle as I’m sure you are all aware of. But I would also incourage different groups that read this to send some kind of petition for just bass. We will be sending out letter to different groups to gain some kind of support along with having people being able to sign the letter of petition at our Spring Open in Oshkosh…Which is May 25 by the way. You can get more infor on our Spring open from website…..bestontheweb.com/oshkoshbass……..I know everyone who fishing the tourneys does not like the no-cull rule. But it takes many to get this point across to the political knuckleheads…..When this letter of petition is finally drafted I will let you all know on a seperate thread.
