Thought I would throw a couple of quick pix up. This is a nice little 3 lb’er. I’ll have a picture of a 10, 7, 6 and a couple others as soon as my buddy sends them to me.

    Great habitat and great fishing

Gee, looks sunny and warm! If you don’t mind me asking, what time of the year did ya go, where did ya stay, and how many days did ya fish? I got a neighbor that keeps bugging me to go to Mexico, but I had my fill of beer-joints and beaches when I was in the military and used to go there. But, an inland lake that includes fishing and 10# Bass is another thing all together!!! Would our wives have anything to do around there when they got sick of fishing? Just curious, any info is much appreciated.

I left on Friday Jan 27th and came back on the 31st. Stayed at El Sargento. It’s outside of Ciudad Victoria. Pretty much all inclusive except we brought our own tackle. They offered Skeeter or Ranger boats with engines from 115 to 200 hp. Guides included. No wives came along. Truth be told there wouldn’t be much for women to do if they didn’t fish. The resort did have a pool but shopping opps were non-existent. We were approximately 3 hrs straight south of Brownsville TX.
We fished from 6:45 AM until noon, came back for lunch/siesta and was back on the water from 2 until dark.
Every day was a 100 fish day with many 4, 5, 6, 7 and up to 10 lb fish. There are up to 16 lb fish swimming in there.
Send me a PM and I’ll give you the website. I’ve already signed up for next February. Rumor has it that November is the peak month down there. Temps were in the 80’s and 90’s everyday.

That looks like great water…I’ve always wanted to fish a lake like that. I second what Mack said!

So what’s the story behind it being a submerged city?

come up and find the Chester pond BC. Looks just like that. Trees all over in deep and shallow water. Lots of largies too. Just they are only little guys though. Last time I went I caught about 50 in 4 hours. 8-14″ers. Fun though. Trolling motor only
