Just thought I’d start this post as I’m looing for any open boat ramps with access to open water around the Clinton, Prairie or La Crosse areas.

    Thanks,

There is no open water in the La Crosse area. Everything here is froze solid. I would guess it is the same for the Prairie Du Chien area also. I cannot speak for the Clinton access. You could hook your boat up to a four-wheeler and drag it around on the ice. Just a thought.

    Not a bad idea!

With all these views, you’d thinks someone has seen some open water… Maybe I’ll just have to take the weekend and look around for myself -I’ll bring the ice fishing gear with so I don’t fully experience any withdrawl once I see’er again, hey

    Kinda funny.

    We’re sending the kid (well, he’s 19) to go to Vegas for a month… Now, he’s going to warm place… He can fish… I work… I can’t fish… That’s simply just not right.

I PMed Everts Resort this morning and asked him about open water fishing this time of year. If he gets back to me or reads this post maybe he will fill us in. That may be too far north for you. If I am not mistaken Everts Resort is about an hour north of me. I live 15 north of La Crosse. Hopefully you will find what you are looking for.

    Good Luck!

Ramps are open here, but I think you’re looking for further south.
