Hit the water for a bit yesterday, and found the bite to be on fire.
The bass were stacked just out of the current and they were willing to pound the rattle trap I had offered up.
If you can find just a bit of current(outside the main channel) with some sand, this was the ticket.
One after the other. 3 in 5 casts were not uncommon. All around the 2lb range with one hitting the 3.4lb mark
The fishing is getting real hot and if the water comes down just a bit the bite will remain hot for awhile!
    Get out and enjoy

I had the same luck on monday evening. I found the bass stack in a small cut along with several hungry walleyes. I got hungry too and kept a couple of eater walleyes. I must have boated around 40 bass in a couple of hours and never moved the boat more than 10 feet.Got a couple over 4 but most were in the 2.5-3 lb range.God I love the fall bite!!!!
