Pool 7

I was wondering if anyone is willing to share a few spots to fish largemouths on pool seven? I have been fishing for 3 years on this pool and can find smallies whenever I would like. I have never been able to consitantly been able to find really quality Largies. I going to be disecting this pool for them this year and would liek some places to start if anyone is willing. I know that there are a lot of quality fish in this pool and would like to find a few spots that work most of the year.

I would start w/ the obvious, Lake Onalaska. Although I have seen a lot of fisherman fall on their face there, it can produce very nice fish. I personally know one guy that caught a nice big mouth that was 5 lbs he weighed it and released it.
Other than that all the sloughs that flow into the lake are good. I pitch a lot of tubes and worms on grass banks. Look for banks that have some current but not too much.
Please consider the time of the year you are going to fish #7 also. Like any other pool, fish will move from area to area and school up on points and types of structure.
I live on #7 and fish it exclusively. If you happen to need some very specific pointers please PM me and let me know what you are looking for. I could spend hours talking about spots, sloughs, slop, drops, whatever. If you should need any kind of credentials(SP?), my father and I placed 3rd in the Westsalem Bassmasters tourney this year. All of our fish were caught on pool #7. All but 1 were big mouths.

I live on pool 7 as well and launch out of Schafer’s. What kind of boat do you run?
