And, besides, in 2005, it came down to needing more than locations… I needed help with lure selection, lure presentation, boat control, “spot within a spot” understanding, and, oh yeah, learning that Smallies do live in the lake…

2005 – the year of a new boat and a new outlook… be prepared for RG in 2006, I am likely going to catch a fish!

Meanwhile, I am off to fall “catching”… too bad the bass don’t bite like this in the summer!

Seriously, in reflecting on 2005, its been a year of trials and tribulations for me. The learning curve was steep, but understandable. I am taking away significant learnings and hope to apply them in 2006.

Thanks to all for the help and contributions this year.

While the fishing season is far from over, my tournament “contributions” are… in reflecting upon the year and the subpar performace, I discovered one thing in 2005 that was greatly different than the past… time on the water. The young family and reprioritization of one’s time away from the water does impact one’s ability to find and follow fish. My best to those that can do both!
